Australian Adventure: Week 37, April 2-8, 2023

This week was busy with midterms, school work, work work, and more!

On Sunday, we had a quiet day and went out for brunch! We went to Custard Canteen, a little cafe on the water. It was highly recommended on Instagram. I had eggs benedict on a crossaint, and Webster had fish and chips.

On Monday we were back at the beach for some surfing! Webster rocked the waves and is getting up on almost every one that comes by him now!

On Tuesday and Wednesday life was busy with school and work. I had a midterm, and presentation, Web was busy with work and golf.

On Thursday, we finished booking some things for our summer trip and finalized our itinerary. After school ends, we will be heading home (the long way). More to come as we plan our time working our way home, but it’s been a fun few weeks planning our schedule. In the evening, we watched the Brisbane Lions win in a special Easter weekend match after a fun dinner out in the West End.

On Friday, we woke up bright and early to head to the Brisbane to Gladstone yacht race! Since very few sports are played on the holiday weekend it is a hit with the locals. It was a rainy day, but we bundled up and headed out to cheer on the boats. Along the park there were food trucks, carnival games and entertainment.

Later on in the day we headed to the Pancake Manor, a breakfast spot in an old church built in 1906. It’s famous in Brisbane and has been on our to-do list for quite some time.

On Saturday, we spent time packing up our little apartment. We are heading on a reading week adventure this week, before returning back to Brisbane, to a new place, next week.
