This week we spent time on the Gold Coast, Webster bought a surfboard and went to an art and food festival.
On Sunday, we spent the day on the Gold Coast. It was a beautiful, sunny, 30 degree day. Webster and some friends, Carter and Sam, did a surf lesson. Then we enjoyed the sand and sunshine.
On Monday, we spent the day searching for the perfect surfboard for Webster. We started at a surf shop, then ended up picking up a board on the Gold Coast from Facebook Marketplace. Getting it home was a mission, but we managed to do it!
On Tuesday, we went out for breakfast on the Brisbane River. It was a beautiful morning! On our way back to the car, we saw a HUGE Australian style spider. I was happy to have my iPhone to take a great zoomed in photo from a distance.

On Wednesday, it was a busy day at school. Webster spent the day working on the patio, enjoying the last few weeks of Brisbane summer. In the afternoon we went to a fancy grocery store to browse. They had so many cool items, and the prices for produce were great! Then, we went for donuts at Rebel Donuts (thanks Kaitlin & Julian!). They were absolutely delicious!
On Thursday we went to Night Feast. Night Feast is a month long sensory celebration of food and art. It was an interesting experience with abstract art, and local food vendors.
On Friday, we had pub night at home with chicken wing dip and cauliflower wings. We watched the Brisbane Lions play Aussie-rules football, and the Brisbane Broncos play rugby.
On Saturday, Webster had a big day in his first golf tournament! It was his first time playing in a course tournament after joining as a member last week. Later in the afternoon we lined up for free ChaTime bubble tea at a new location in our area. The line was crazy, but worth it for a free drink!
This week we are going to the Sunshine Coast, out for trivia, and to the Gold Coast for more surfing! Thanks for following along with our Aussie adventures! See you next week!
