Hello from sunny Brisbane! We have had beautiful weather this week.
On Sunday, we enjoyed another beautiful day on the Quantum of the Seas. We were anchored in the Whitsunday Islands near Airlie Beach but decided to stay on board and enjoy the amenities. We did some surfing, did laser tag, and road on the floating orb above the ship for a 360 view.
On Monday, we enjoyed our last full day on board. We went for a fancy dinner, played trivia, did archery, watched a few shows, and played shuffleboard. It was a great mini-vacation!
On Tuesday, we got off the ship and got back to real life. I headed to class, and Webster did some work. Wednesday was another busy day with lots of school and work to be done. In the evening we watched the Brisbane Lions game from the comfort of our couch!
On Thursday, Webster spent the day at the golf course. He has been trying a few local courses in hopes of finding one he will join for the rest of our time in Australia.
On Friday we celebrated St.Patrick’s Day with pesto pasta for dinner! Then we went to Felons Brewery under the Story Bridge with some friends from Kingston! It was a great night out, although the local celebrations aren’t as festive as at home.
On Saturday we had a quiet day with a slow morning. We spent the afternoon at Costco, finding some new products and picking up our old favourites.
Later in the evening we went to Factory 51 for an Italian date night. We shared gnocchi and a wood-fired pizza (thanks Mom!).
This week we are going to the beach and a food festival. Thanks for following along with our adventures in Australia! See you next week!
