This week we made our way to Far North Queensland for some time on the Northern Great Barrier Reef!

On Sunday, we explored the Whitsunday Islands with Ocean Rafting out of Airlie Beach. We spent the day snorkelling, lounging on the beach, and soaking up the sun! Our highlight was seeing the colourful fish, in such abundance, all around us.

On Monday, we drove the last leg of our journey North to Port Douglas - our home for the next three weeks! Our drive was scenic along the coast as we headed up to where the rainforest meets the ocean.

On Tuesday, we spent the day relaxing at our AirBnB and enjoying the pool. It was 31 degrees in the water - nice and refreshing when the air is 38!

On Wednesday, Webster spent the day golfing at the Mirage golf course in town. Sadly only 9 holes were open, but he played twice.

On Thursday, we spent time at Four Mile Beach, just 2 minutes from our AirBnB. Four Mile Beach is a patrolled beach, with stinger nets for protected swimming. The weather was a little iffy, but we made the most of it!

On Friday, we explored Port Douglas and some lookouts around the area. We hiked up to the Flagstaff Hill Lookout and Trinity Hill Lookout.

On Saturday, we spent some time along the shore relaxing in the shade. Webster even put up his hammock! That night, we went to N17 Burger Bar to watch some local sports and have some gourmet burgers.

This week, we are snorkelling and diving on the Great Barrier Reef! We can’t wait to share photos from our underwater adventures. Thanks for following along!
