This week we went to Eat Street, went scuba diving on the Gold Coast and left Brisbane for our three month road trip!
On Sunday, we went to Eat Street, our favourite market in the city. Eat Street takes over an old shipping yard every weekend with 100 food vendors, live music, and entertainment. We had a great night with some friends.
On Monday, we went scuba diving on the Gold Coast! We dove at a protected reef on the intercostal which meant it was protected from large waves. The visibility was not great but we were excited to see hundreds of fish, an eel, and lots of crabs.
On Tuesday, we had our regular shift at the food bank. It was great to get a few more hours volunteering before we left Brisbane.
On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, our days were devoted to exams and work. Between the long nights studying, and early mornings working, we found some time for great coffee, a game of trivia, and getting my nails done.
On Saturday, we packed up our little car and headed on the road! We are off on a three month road trip across Australia. We drove from Brisbane to Port Macquarie, a 7 hour drive. On our way we made a stop at Ricardoe's farm for some strawberries and tomatoes.
We arrived in Port Macquarie just before dinner, where we stopped for the night and enjoyed some time on the beach. We had charcuterie for dinner on the sand.
This week we are exploring the Hunter Valley and Blue Mountains in NSW. We are hoping to see lots of wild koalas and kangaroos.
Thanks for following along with our adventures! See you next week for a recap of our first week on the road :)
