This week we explored a koala centre, played Halloween mini-golf, and went to the beach - welcome back to week 14 of the blog!
On Sunday, we had a quiet day, getting some work done, doing laundry, and studying for exams. For lunch, we went to a local deli and had sandwiches on the patio. It was a beautiful day, 29 and sunny!
On Monday, we visited the Daisy Hill Koala Centre. The centre is thirty minutes outside the city in a great nature preserve. We visited the koalas, walked through the museum, and did a short hike in the area.
On Tuesday, we played Halloween mini golf at a local golf centre. It was a great course with lots of themed decorations. Webster got a chance to use his new putter, and I am proud to say it was a very close game, although he took home the win.
On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, our days were filled with school and work. I had two exams, and Webster had some projects to work on. Between that we found some time for great coffee, the driving range, and some nights in watching our new Netflix show, Blindspot.
On Saturday, we drove down to the Gold Coast to visit some of Webster’s family. Last time we were touring Australia, in 2019, we were fortunate to stay with them for a few nights. It was great to catch up, share our upcoming Australian travel plans, and hear about Aussie life during the pandemic. After our visit, we couldn’t resist some time on the beach. Webster went for a quick dip and we watched the sunset on the sand.
This is our last week in Brisbane before our three month Aussie road trip! We are going to make the most of it between studying for two more exams.
Thanks for following along - see you next week!
