This week I spent some time playing tourist around London and finally got back to work! The weather was not perfect, a lot of rain and about 15-20 degrees everyday, but I made the most of it.

Monday, July 6, 2020

On Monday, I took my first walk (yay freedom!). I ended up at my favourite place to photograph in the city! In the gardens in front of Buckingham Palace there was a nice tribute to the NHS (National Health Service) for their continued efforts during COVID.

Tuesday, July 7, 2020

On Tuesday, I ventured out for a bit longer and walked to Westminster Abbey. I spent some time in St.James's Park and enjoyed the little bits of sunshine while I could!

Wednesday, July 8, 2020

On Wednesday, I spent some time in Green Park after work enjoying the fresh air. Then, Webster and I had a virtual date night. The five hour time change makes his lunch and my dinner line up perfectly.

Thursday, July 9, 2020

On Thursday I walked over Westminster Bridge and along the River Thames.

Friday, July 10, 2020

On Friday, I braved the scattered showers after work and went for a quick walk right near my little flat. I am so lucky to live centrally in a beautiful area!

Saturday, July 11, 2020

On Saturday I walked to Piccadilly Circus and started my Christmas shopping. I wandered into my first few stores since lockdown started...yes, since March! It wasn't too busy, I had my mask on the entire time, and used hand sanitizer before and after shopping.

After Piccadilly, I headed to Trafalgar Square where there was an animal rights demonstration going on. Protesters had dyed the water in the fountains red right outside Canada House. It was very peaceful but there were a lot of police on site.

Sunday, July 12, 2020

On Sunday, I got out for some fresh air before there were a few protests in Central London in the afternoon. I spent the evening chatting with Webster and watching my new Netflix show "Say I Do"!

This week I am going to make my way to Hyde Park, over to the Tower of London/Tower Bridge area, and maybe into a few more shops...Harrods? Selfridges? Stay tuned for next week's adventures! Thanks for following along.
